For some people WBT is merely sticking a PPT online converting it to Flash and whalla – a new course. I believe a new sub-genre of e-learning is upon us. Ability to enter a keyword on the video goes right to it each and every time. Video management systems. Video management systems. Deep tagging.

I am still amazed at people who purchase a web conferencing solution, but do not want video (i.e. Features from Video to Record – And Questions to Ask. Video (Essential, if you want a true web conferencing solution). Some terms they use for this includes: video, web cam. . Web Conferencing or Audio Conferencing?

The downside to training management products is the inability to upload any other 3rd party authoring tool or courses from an off the shelf vendor. Yeah, you can upload word docs, PPT, etc. With some vendors you are grouped together with other prospects. – but not a course from say Articulate or any of the other tools.
