It seems to me that FaceBook is a great networking tool. Then again, perhaps Im missing something. Heres some examples of whos on Gin: A national non-profit organization. It seems to me that a system like this could provide some of the networking that FaceBook provides -- within an organization -- and provide a lot of content.

Is a messy training program just one in which the presenter is clearly not organized? Things go wrong (software fails, power goes out). One of the participants talked about a focus group/research project his organization did. Im not sure if the SME was reading a script, reading the notes, or just speaking from the heart. The advantage: the text content can be corrected and polished by a text author and missing topics can be added, now and in future revisions.

Im a Word power-user and love all the little tricks and shortcuts. And it will serve a double-purpose in terms of educating them about the potential uses for wikis within their organization. I started off cutting and pasting a lot of documents from Word into the wiki. Ive had to get used to the formatting -- or lack thereof.
