The lower budget required is a big plus too. I can't agree more about strategic and even (sometimes) liberal use of SME's in various programs. For some who don't concur, I'd suggest that when budget has permitted if that hasn't been your experience, you haven't found the right narrator for your content.

The project managers is responsible for projectplanning and budget. The ID trying to spend money on crazy stuff in the name of e-elarning and the project manager holding on to the budget. When pressed, they respond "Thats not in our budget" or "Thats not in our plan" or "We dont have the resources for that." Im gonna call them an "immature e-Learning organization." They seem to want page-turners, more or less. Games are scary. No collaboration. Nothing too "messy." Contrast this to a project Karyn Romeis is working on.

Wed never built one, and had no idea what it would cost to create. So, we built a production prototype to answer that question.
