We added media to the clip bin and then dragged it into place, where we trimmed it as necessary and added effects. We used Creative Commons photos to fill in the gaps of photos that we didn’t have. We used search.creativecommons.org to find these photos that weren’t protected by a standard copyright.

The bottom line is this: In the UK, exams are used by Government more to provide indicators of school effectiveness than they are for providing students with qualifications. We cannot prepare children for examinations using one set of standards, and then impose a new set without warning. Grossly unfair. Unported License.

The side effects of over-testing are that children become victims of the scramble to be best in the league tables. How are we going to teach a wide and all embracing curriculum when teachers are so over-burdened with marking, administration and compliance with standards that they have no freedom to teach? No longer can we say that inward facing schools are effective (and indeed this has never been the case). Finally, the design of the learning spaces is creative. They don't mimic the template of the standard school. Blended approaches where on-site learning is mixed with off-site learning, also seems to be a common feature.
