I will go thru several areas for e-learning, not just learning systems, although by far, it will be the most, since a lot has happened in 2020. . But overall, in my opinion, EdTech also showed all its weaknesses front and center, and way too many vendors were unprepared for the numbers of schools, universities, colleges, etc.

Quite true, but if training itself doesn’t have a quantitative number you can point to to validate its usage, then e-learning and as to this question, a LMS follows suit.
