This gender gap is striking to me, too, in terms of who is talking about games/immersive learning and instructional design. Im right with you. Im a female instructional designer in my late 30s. e-Learning should be all neat and tied up in a nice wrapper with a Next button that moves you through a content checklist and a great assessment at the end. This may be why the concept of informal learning is such a hard sell. Formal training, is by definition, not messy. But Im learning. Forget about it.

Im definitely hooked -- you might say, "immersed" or "addicted". Getting an Informal M.Ed So last night I stayed up until 1:00 playing Zelda: The Twilight Princess. I had to force myself to stop. The graphics are amazing. The controller is so fluid and much more intuitive than the Nintendo 64.
