But for some strange reason this idea of the fractal nature of the enterprise is clear to me. What strikes me is the fact that there will always be patterns of collaboration and in a sense structure of some sort. The forced fractal of old represented as an org chart, will, and must, one day become a more fluid pattern that evolves and adapts to the current immediate business environment in an effort to become most efficient. A consistent pattern in our response to new technologies is we simultaneously overestimate the short-term impact and underestimate the long-term impact. - In response to my post Personal and Group Learning Using Web 2.0 and eLearning 2.0 , I got asked about adoption. In prior posts ( Enterprise 2.0 - What's the PU? & Web 2.0 Banking adoption on value to the department, value to the enterprise, value to the group, those are all hard sells.
