Most prototypes I have seen thus far are cumbersome and require you to compile an App on your desktop, add it to iTunes and then sync up your iPad in order to see your work. In Apple iBooks Author, you simply click the Preview button and voila, your Interactive book is sent to your iPad. Too much work.

Nice selection of vendors – in general. More vendors showing off their products then in the past – still a couple believe that a poster board will do the trick. Wi-Fi worked a lot better, but vendors and end users still had issues inside the expo hall. I heard this happen to two vendors.

If you listen to content authoring tool vendors who have added the capability of HTML5 it is easy to misunderstand what some are saying is not what you assume to be true. HTML5 or is it? However, Snap isn't the first product of its kind, and other vendors have had comparable software on the market for some time. In short, Snap-published content won't run on the iPhone or iPad. It just wasn’t me thinking this, I heard it from attendees and even other vendors who were trolling the floor. Lots of giveaways for iPads, Kindle Fire – etc. There were some very slick products.
