I can’t forget the joke of micro-learning platforms, ignoring that micro-learning has been around since 2000, every type of learning system can do this because it is based solely on how you or whomever creates the courses/content. A vendor says “elearning course” ignoring that it really has a hyphen between the e and the l.

If they were a vendor who played in EdTech (K-12, HE) but also played into corporate and did so, not just by having clients find them, but actively through marketing, they were considered too. Strictly If the vendor was a custom shop building a system, off say Moodle or whatever code they are using that is open source? Strictly EdTech?

Courseware LMSs – Good or bad for the industry?

Maybe you scored it via Wiley, but in many possibilities you purchased the content thru your LMS vendor. It’s much easier than say going directly to the content provider, buying it from them and then having them talk to your LMS vendor to put it in for you (which, honestly you should do, because it will save you money).

How to Create an Online Course regardless of authoring tool or lack thereof

I don’t and still don’t understand the love for Kirkpatrick, which was designed/created for ILT. I see that folks take this model for ILT, then shove them into the online course builds and go, “See, it is perfect for that.” The rest captures the learner’s attention; I rarely see it in seminars for ILT.
