Analytics capability – You see it with some SaaS authoring tool vendors. In a sense they are saying, here you can take the courses and we provide analytics, thus you do not need a LMS. If you are wondering if the “publish once to all” means the vendor is using PENS, the answer is no, they are not using PENS. .

Are they still using pen and paper? The ‘old guard’ in e-learning finds it difficult to believe that what worked in 1980 does not work in 2014. As such, we are probably going to find that these eLearning trends, such as gamification and learning analytics, will bring new people to the industry.
