The Playbook comes with a camera, a fast processor that enables true multitasking and a fully featured browser. As a contrast to the Apple iPad, this browser supports Flash. A great challenge for digital designers, and an even greater opportunity.

The iPhone’s revolutionary user interface has changed the way we look at mobile devices. To assist the development of applications, Apple has provided the user interface guidelines document which provides information about types of applications you can develop and user interface guidelines to make effective applications. E.g. Folders.

Hiram began his talk by outlining why making online and other digital content accessible to those with disabilities is relevant to web designers and app developers. Using a screen reader allows you to listen to long text documents so you can multitask. Again, ARIA labels aren’t typically displayed in the visible design of the site.
