Found via Corporate eLearning Strategies and Development A great introduction to using Second Life as a teaching / learning tool. I've said for a while that Second Life offers something interesting in terms of providing a natural "setting" for online sessions, presentations, etc. A few thoughts.

He is in South Carolina working for First Citizens. Mary Ann also lives close to Bloomsburg but stopped by my presentation to say Hi.

Researchers from the University of California-Davis Health System re-created a 3-D model of the California Exposition and State Fair in Second Life and conducted the training within that environment.

I've mentioned before that I also think Second Life as a Learning Tool can be fantastic if you set up an environment like Plymoth Plantation - a recreation of Plymouth where actors playing the part of Native Americans and Colonists told stories and answered questions about life, religion, history, etc.
