A few more options are to: Create your own assets. For example, Mighty Deals just offered a bunch of illustrated characters for a big discount. Create some treatments to show before and after examples of interactive elearning. I’d also look at the projects created by formers students. Modify existing clip art.

For example, there are often training initiatives that require some face-to-face sessions and peer interaction. I like this example from Mike Enders. Above is a good example of something that is the appropriate size for a portfolio. This is about the size example you want on your portfolio—something that’s easy to click through and demonstrates your skills. This comes in really handy when you’re creating interactive branches and using PowerPoint’s hyperlinking because the titles of the slide are easy see. Create Shapes for Hyperlinks. That’s why I like to create a shape just for the links.

A great way to get out of the PowerPoint look is to create screens that hold content in different ways. For example, if you put a TV monitor on the screen you’re less inclined to use bullet points. As they were talking about the features, one of them mentioned the ability to combine shapes to create your own. Why create a cool feature and bury it where it can’t be found? Creating custom shapes is buried in PowerPoint and not easy to find. First create a custom tab. Then create groups. No need to fret, though.

Create the look you need, and then apply the master template to all of the slides. Your client didn’t use the master slide to create the course. The client may not have started with a master slide, but there’s no reason why you can’t create a master slide and a few layouts to define the project’s look. But here’s the kicker.
