If the technology infrastructure does not enable internet connection and the only availability is mobile, then m-learning on a smartphone is workable and clearly acceptable. Video goes in and out with the audio – They explain it has to do with the latest version of Flash, but how about coming up with an alternative. Problems abound within the product – not bugs mind you, just poor processes (IMO). Gift wrapped.

Google Docs – ever heard of em? All the vendors listed below offer a robust set of features and in a couple of cases, their tools are strong in UI and capabilities. Rapid Intake – their launch of mLearning studio is another fine example of a vendor that is going places. Microsoft Live – same thing.

The included sample project and performance support do a decent job of showing how the application should be used, so the learning curve should be quite minimal. The mere fact that it’s self-contained sets it apart from all of the versionitis-ridden Word docs you might ordinarily use to analyze a project. What I Liked.

Vendors in this category include SuccessFactors, SumTotal. Degreed, EdCast TXP are two perfect examples. Schoox plans to expand on e-commerce, and since they already offer multi-tenant, multi-domain, and so forth, they will become the first TXP to cross into the customer ed segment. Vendors should include an SLA.
