This is fine until you need to make a change to the slide and the colors aren’t updating when you change the theme color. Our template developers have a simple technique to check the theme colors and make sure that they’re used throughout the various template slides. Everything on the slide should be bright yellow.

Another way to get the text into your slide is by reading it out loud to transcribe it and insert into your slide. Use PowerPoint to Transcribe Text for HTML5 E-Learning. The new version of PowerPoint has a dictate feature. PowerPoint transcribes the text and adds it to the slide.

My initial inclination was to build something in PowerPoint or Google slides, but I switched to Rise 360 and haven’t looked back. If you want additional layouts to accommodate the different colors, just go into the slide master, duplicate the layout and change the color of the bulb. There are a few common issues when working with rapid elearning tools. If you use Quizmaker ‘09, make sure to take advantage of the Slide View feature. Another issue is when working with PowerPoint. We tend to gravitate towards the templates and placeholder structure that PowerPoint provides. Good question.
