There is a growing list of vendors, including small/mid size that are adding talent management components that match the Big Dog systems. A couple of vendors have added HRIS modules. It is interesting to note, that many of the vendors are targeting the SMB space, especially the small size (less than 500 employees) market.

After over a year of looking and talking with several LMS vendors, I finally chose an LMS - ClickCourse from Rapid Intake. True, many do a lot more and offer some impressive features for managing learning and learners, but in the end I just wanted SCORM tracking at a fair price.

How about – Litmos actually skinning the product themselves – as the majority of vendors do – at no additional charge or more simple click customization options. However there were plenty of vendors who had — NOTHING. I also liked the T-shirts from Maestro and WebEducator.

Nice selection of vendors – in general. More vendors showing off their products then in the past – still a couple believe that a poster board will do the trick. Wi-Fi worked a lot better, but vendors and end users still had issues inside the expo hall. I heard this happen to two vendors.

Yes there are vendors doing some new stuff, okay many, but a few items are not new, rather they have been around for a long time. SaaS boost – Finally more vendors are on the appropriate path for their consumers; but the big folks are not – why? Rapid Intake (now Litmos Author) had this ability more than four years ago.

What I like about conferences is the ability to see the latest products and hear the pitches from the vendors. Yet, for all that do it, their are equal number of vendors who do not.
