The usual rationale given for why eLearning needs both text and audio is that it accommodates multiple learning styles. These are serious questions that deserve serious consideration, but unfortunately they don’t always get it.

Last week I was at the eLearning Network’s 25th Birthday Bash in London. I am not particularly stuck on the exact ratios (and there is huge debate on that here and here ) but agree that Informal is a big chunk of all learning – which should not be left to chance. I spoke (for 5 min) on how mobile enables informal learning.
