I created characters that the learner follows throughout the course. Learn from this manufacturing group and how they applied these principles to their work place. We had to go with lockouts, meaning the learner must go through the topics in order and cant advance to the next topic until the previous topic has been completed.

In the context of e-Learning (back then it was just plain old CBT), this meant you had audio/video on the screen with timed text bullets. The learner could listen to the audio if her preferred style was auditory, OR read the text if her preferred style was visual. Im with you. But I just thought that was my learning style.
