I am sorry to say this, but if you have multiple products and one is cloud-based but the main tool is desktop based, this does not qualify your authoring tool as SaaS. The number one reason people leave their current system or purchase a different e-learning product? Every time I see a product, two statements seem to be universal. If I am a potential customer, I would expect nothing less to come out of the vendor’s mouth on their product and user friendliness. We never hear complaints.

I feel bad for the folks who were learn.com, then thought Taleo would improve it, then Oracle. And BTW, nearly every LMS can interface with Oracle products. The previous, Growth Engineering is still a phenomenal product, much more than just gamification. Reason for change? Super robust platform – has it all. .

Between the two systems, I am leaning more towards LMS365, just because I honestly believe it has a future in the SharePoint space much more so than their other product (nothing against it, but…). I’m not sure why they “appear” as separate products on their site. Anyway, the product is dated.

Most of the time (as is the case with Oracle) these are different products. I know the folks from CornerStone and their product does some really interesting things. This is a product where you build e-learning courses. offline, without an internet connection and then when they have a net connection all instances (data) is communicated back to the LMS or other SaaS product. If you have never implemented a system, needing assistance in this area will reduce resources and productivity challenges.
