The Association market is by far, IMO, one of the top three markets, that as a vendor, you should be in. However, a professional association may also allow companies to be members too, and sometimes, there are vendors who are members referred to in the industry as “associate members” (but the vernacular can be different).

It is the same way with learning systems, and yes, e-learning. Sure in some cases it did poorly, but it wasn’t because the idea wasn’t sound, it was due to the way the learning was presented. If you ignore the “learning experience” angle, which is nothing more than a moniker, they are a content aggregator with a platform of features and functionality. What irked my brain on a recent press release was that the vendor announced they would have over 12,000 courses from Linkedin Learning (it is the Lynda.com courses/content) in their (the vendor’s) system. .
