Even with limited development skills, there is an area within Helium, where a template is available, and code snippets – you select say X, the code is provided, and a simple cut and paste. Some can do only off the templates you select,others can do it all. What about other vendors? The vendor, doesn’t have to do it.

A funny thing happened on the way to using GPT-4 last week, which I suspect that the vendors who have implemented GPT-4 and are using it as a statement/Q and A to the learners were not paying attention to. Turbo, which many vendors use that have OpenAI. Microsoft is not the only vendor that offers copilots.

Another vendor calls their system nearly every keyword for SEO purposes (you can see it on their web site). They call it something else.

Before diving into the functionality they all possess, I’d add a few points: They are ideally suited as a “bolt-on” to an LMS, while they can be a standalone, in nearly all cases the vendors have told me, that the majority of their customers already have an LMS. They took a premise of strong course design that allows interactivity and engagement, with knowledge of ADDIE or at least some basic ID understanding, and flipped it into a PPT template so that you can create quickly your courses and get them online. Then Dreamweaver, a tool for designing web sites, rolled out templates for course building.
