Trivantis – Lectora Inspire – the product now supports HTML5, and comes with templates for tablets including the iPad – which is a good thing, since I will have my iPad with me.

What is true is that you can view the courses you have created on any mobile device that supports HTML5 including the iPad series. . Utilizes a self-contained native app which the vendor will create for a mobile device, ideally a tablet (for right now it will be the iPad series, since they know it will work with iOS devices).

Latest data: 95% of the tablet market is owned by iPad. 35 tablets will hit the market starting in early Q4 to late Q1 2011. Samsung Galaxy S is expected to be the first real challenger to the iPad, it runs on Android OS, offers Flash 10.1 million tablets to be sold by the end of 2011 & over 208 million units in 2014.

In 2011, I saw quite a few items that resonated. Another Apple patent includes allowing users via touch free gesturing to move content from one device to another (example from your iPad to your television). I will admit it is one of the most disappointing features that failed to deliver in 2011. Social Learning.

Oh, another key reason: the Ipad. I will not include the Ipad in this, because a)it is really heavy, b) too me it is more of a tablet, that will include e-reader capabilities. However, on the true “e-reader&# field, they range (for the most part) in the 6″ to 7″ field, but the Kindle DX is 9.7″ Screen Size.

The product is Flash based, which is nice, but lack of mobile optimization for the iPad. Optimized for the iPad (one of the 1st). The front is crisp and clear, the back end is admin friendly and EE feature set is beyond robust. Accepts APIs and shopping cart. Reporting, is solid. Social Learning is limited. So, who are they?

There is no reason in 2011, to use a RFP that is 20 pages or more. Is your system optimized to work on the iPad/iPad2? Case in point, one vendor who had a RFP on their site, for anyone to download, had statements in there – that truly applied to their product. RFP is another word for lots of pages. This is a myth.

A recent study found over 40% of CIOs saying that tablets would be purchased in 2011. 1 million iPad2 tablets were sold in the first weekend it launched, it took over 25 days to sell 1 million units of the iPad.
