We were talking about our process, and he pointed me to an article that nicely catalyzed my thinking. The article my friend pointed me to was titled: “The Simple Way To Outline A Nonfiction Book”, and it’s nicely resonant, and a bit deeper, than my own approach. It’s a better business card!

What emerged in the resulting article, however, was pretty much contrary to what I said. So the article went from my claim about an ecosystem approach to touting three particular trends. since Google declared that! So, I have to say that the article was underwhelming in insight, confused in story, and wrong on topic.

Microsoft Word: My writing tool for longer posts, articles, and of course books, and writing is a powerful force for organizing my thoughts, and a great way to share them and get feedback.

That’s where I write books and articles first. And… Honorable Mention: to round out the picture (10 is such an arbitrary number ;), sharing collaborative documents, e.g. Google Docs , is a major way to collaboratively process and learn together. That, toolwise, is largely about representing and communicating.
