A few weeks ago, I was interviewed along with a number of other folks for an online article about the corporate implications of virtual worlds. The resulting article is titled Online Communities Go Corporate:What Can Virtual Worlds Do For Your SME? The article, appearing in the online publication Processor , describes how different organizations are replicating, "with some accuracy, the experience of working physically alongside others, including working with and sharing digital 3D models of physical or theoretical objects.

I periodically get feedback from people on the value of having the varied perspectives that come in through the Big Questions. I'm sure that participants have seen that value as well (although it likely differs from month to month). I also wanted to point out that a recent T+D article Learning and Networking with a Blog used perspectives from the October 2006 Big Question - Should All Learning Professionals Be Blogging? As more and more risk takers take advantage of social networks we will begin to see a snowball effect. Many will wait until the academics prove that social networks are a viable business tool. And still others will wait until there is a rapid development tool created to make it easy with a step by step manual to get it done. A school system in the Netherlands is highlighted in a CLO article as one of the risk takers in this space.

Last week, I was interviewed by our local newspaper, The Danville News about my book, Gadgets, Games and Gizmos for Learning and yesterday, the article appeared on the front page of the paper (remember, its a local newspaper.) I think the reporter for the newspaper did a fantastic job with a balanced, fair story and an accurate description and recording of the interview. (So a shout Out to Jamie for great work.
