Yes, Dave Wilkins of Learn.com and Tom Stone of Element K have already argued that the label is still needed in the marketplace, but I’m really trying to shift the way people think about what their role is, and to me using the label LMS is a major barrier to shifting out of the comfort zone. So, what do you think?

Content – Change the Narrative

Too many times I find that when talking about content, 3rd party content providers, content driven strategies from learning system vendors (which is quite hot) and marketplaces place more of a general approach to buying and pushing it. All I had to do was click publish, but then something happened. Afterwards, I started to question the post.

Skillsoft – An Analyst Perspective

If the buy content you get Skillsoft system sounds familiar you are correct, because the same approach was taken with Skillport, an LMS from Skillsoft, which was really a stripped down version of the old Element K system back in the day. Grovo, which eventually was acquired by Cornerstone. That’s my take. For what it is worth.

Acquistions – Someone had an idea

GO1 picked off Anders Pink, which initially was a good idea; I mean, GO1 didn’t know the impact of AI in the content finding and bringing in (nobody did), and their strategy for leveraging AP was smart. They disagree (I think you are starting to see a trend here). It wasn’t great or okay, good, but there were people who liked it.
