In one of my recent Optimizing PowerPoint for eLearning & Presentations classes , I demonstrated how to adjust the saturation of an inserted image to take the image to grayscale. Only files saved as PNG or JPG have options for adjusting color saturation from within PowerPoint. PowerPoint' by AJ Walther.

PowerPoint gets a bad reputation from all the mind numbing presentations millions have been subjected to. This has less to do with PowerPoint's limitations and more to do with a lack of creativity on the part of many presenters. PowerPoint is also useful for creating cool visual effects outside of a presentation.

PowerPoint has evolved into an app which is the Swiss Army knife of content creation, not only for presentations but also printed collaterals, videos and even interactive presentations. That very faint green dotted line is what PowerPoint uses by default. Not what you want for your interactive presentations.

I like using the PowerPoint backgrounds in my Cp projects. I don’t need the PowerPoint master slides, just the background image. Importing that PowerPoint background into my Captivate master slide applies the background to my title, content, quizzing, and all the other slides in the master slide series.

The other day, I was working on a presentation. I was trying to come up with a way to add a logo and few icons into PowerPoint. You may need to add your company logo to a new image or add an icon to a PowerPoint presentation. If you are using a screenshot or a PNG image, it will default to have a transparent background.
