Second Life Happenings: CEO Steps Down (again)

Yesterday, Philip Linden (AKA: Philip Rosedale ) stepped down as CEO of Linden Labs (yes again). Bob will lead Linden Lab while we conduct the search. He said many longtime Second Life users are angry at the recent decisions by the company that runs the service, Linden Lab. He has done this before and then come back.

What we have are multiple channels ( Virtual World News , Massively ), including official ones from River Runs Red and Linden Lab , bringing us the news that Immersive Workspaces 2.0 As I watched the video, I kept asking myself "what on earth do I need the 3D for?" "Your avatar got so drunk at the holiday party.?"

The fact that Blu-ray finally won the battle has really opened up the market for high definition video! Eventually, one format will emerge, but it may take committees, or it may be that someone like Linden Labs will own the space sufficiently that everyone will lock into a format they provide.
