Last week I detailed how to turn a PowerPoint 2007 presentation into a movie that could be uploaded to popular video sharing sites like YouTube. If you wanted to add voiceover narration to the movie, however, you may have run into a bit of a problem--there is only one row in the Windows Movie Maker timeline for audio.

Ken initially started recording music as a teenager and sought to improve the quality of his recordings. He highlights the need of having decent audio quality for filmed videos nevertheless. Doing voiceovers and and I yelled it down and my, Hey, why can’t we read audio books? It’s very high quality, better lighting.

Using image and sound to convey information, voice-over videos engage both visual and auditory learners. On the day of filming make sure you’ve got all the technical tools you need (mics, cameras, and props) and the right technical support (directors, runners, sound, and lighting bods). You can find voice-over in ads, movies, and presentations everywhere. So, voiceover is used pretty much everywhere. You get people doing voiceover for ads. You get people that if you get a movie scene and it’s got a lot of background noise, they’ll have to recut that and do voices for it.
