While my sample size is no doubt too small to indicate statistical significance across the wider population, simple observation suggests the following: We expect our intranets to become more social than they are today. Abbreviated to eDNA, this term refers to the analysis of minute traces of organic matter in samples of soil, water and even air to identify the wildlife that’s present in the vicinity. Even when video evidence is forthcoming, it’s infuriatingly inconclusive. Which leads me to another interest: Environmental DNA.

If we can sample their sentiment, and combine that data with how well we think the two major parties are campaigning online, we should be able to predict who will win the election. Not very scientific, I know, but here are the results nonetheless: As you can see, my tiny sample of the Twitterati is uncannily balanced.

While my sample size is probably too small to infer any significant differences among the factors, observation reveals a tiered arrangement. So I recently invited 14 community managers from around the world to rate the key factors that drive Yammer use in their respective organisations. The results are summarised in the following graph.
