It''s amazing to me how much we already take for granted, but probably the thing we take for granted the most, is our ability to have multiple, instantaneous and synchronous global conversations. For me, the most important aspect of any global communication capability is the conversations we can have, sometimes at the drop of a hat.

To me it resembles a global digital tribe. It is tribal because the global online community exhibits many of the characteristics of traditional, territorial tribal practice. The global digital tribe has many smaller sub-sets we can call clans. It is your personal network. It is your virtual community. Call it what you wish.
