Adult Learning Principles in eLearning

B Online Learning

Share. Tweet. Pin It. When developing eLearning courses, it is important to put yourself in the shoes of the learner. Two essential questions to consider are: ‘Who are the learners? ‘What will motivate them to learn?’ As most of us are designing courses for adult learners, it is helpful to understand adult learning principles. Overcoming the Course and Control mindset hurdles

Jane Hart

My two recent Learning in the Workplace surveys showed that ( a ) people consider that informal learning is much more important, if not essential, to them than training, and ( b ) that they learn informally on a much more regular (if not continuous) basis than they learn formally. These findings are of course in line with study after study that shows that most learning in the workplace happens outside of formal training.

2 Stupidly Simple Ways to Use Twitter For Training

LearnDash

We hear it all the time in our industry: social media is the next big thing for collaborative learning. But how? As of today, I have yet to see one mainstream social media tool, or any tool for that matter , provide a really viable option for social learning. I think in theory we all know that social media lends itself well to learning, but as of now it isn’t adopted mainstream (and I don’t see that changing anytime soon).

Learning Organization is Culture, Processes, and Leadership

The Performance Improvement Blog

It seems like these days any business, nonprofit, or government agency that provides training and education to its employees calls itself a learning organization. They might do a lot of training and education but that doesn’t necessarily mean employees are learning and, most importantly, it doesn’t mean that their individuals and teams are learning what they need to know in order to become and stay high

Writing & Grammar: Quick/Quickly
