I’ve been using Twitter for a number of weeks now, and that, combined with several recent social networking activities prompted this reflection. I find blogging personally beneficial to cause me to take time to reflect, and that’s one of the best investments you can make in effectiveness.

2016 Reflections on Games and Gamification for Learning

At the Masie 2016 conference my sessions on “game design” and “thinking like a game designer” were two of the top 10 most well attended sessions and my book bundle (my two gamification books and an ATD games and gamification report) was in the top 5 of books sold. Conferences can be better, a whole lot better

Here is a dog’s breakfast of suggestions for improving the effectiveness of conferences. Encourage social networking. Attendance at the events I examined (eLearning Guild, Masie, Training, ATD, Learning & Technology, Educa) is rising. Flipping the session allocates a majority of the time to participatory events.
