In a sense, manipulation is a very important attribute that contributes significantly to user experience in a product like an elearning course. Products/services like Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, etc. In the eLearning context, it’s sad, this is where a LOT of our courseware products fail miserably.

I learned some basic html coding when I was just 11 years old because I constantly wanted to update the backgrounds on my NeoPets and MySpace profiles. So, it is no wonder most Millennials are disinterested in webinars or eLearning courses that are text heavy or slow moving. Pin this to Pinterest. Stumble upon something good?

Used MySpace & a wiki. Chose MySpace b/c lots of existing religious tools available (e.g., Also explored specifically Christian sites, but secular sites like MySpace may offer better options. She had not used a chat room, IM, Facebook, or MySpace before joining a site called OurPrayer.org. Sue Phillips.

While Gen Z is the generation currently most associated with social media, Millennials were the beta testers and first adapters of every major platform from MySpace to SnapChat. Gamified elements on elearning platforms perform well because they tap into similar feedback loops. Make it social. I’m not alone in this.
