Sometimes you might need to go to an organised activity but most of the time you're just getting better at doing your job. Basically, if you are at work, you are learning.

Twitter for learning

I've only been actively participating on Twitter for 4-5 months now. In the few months that I've been active on Twitter I have been exposed to more ideas from more sources than in whole years previously. Why wouldn't you use Twitter?!

So, we extrapolate on imperfect information. A good example is cited by NNT. Imagine a chicken. Life is predictable. Then one day it's head is chopped off.

The step-wise evolution of Social Learning

This means that it's more difficult to keep my own learning going – I need to actively seek out learning, and social contact. Mostly I work alone in the relative calm of my home office. I enjoy what I do but working solo is by definition solitary.

If the answer is a slide then use one/two/more! then use this - don't just use slides because you can ! Story before slides.
