First up is Storyline from Articulate. Storyline is a desktop authoring tool which Articulate would probably position alongside their current Studio suite of Presenter, QuizMaker and Engage, but for me this is definitely a replacement. A few highlights: The demo I saw was running on a Mac, so that's a plus for me.

NOTE: I built the scenario in Quizmaker ‘09. In the demo above, I created a couple of characters and then made them look like normal people. For example, “style 1592” doesn’t have a lot of images, but here’s an example where I ungrouped one and used parts of the clip art to create a Flash intro screen demo in Quizmaker ‘09. Fortunately, the Essential Articulate Studio ‘09 is such a well-documented book, because its size makes the perfect portable mic stand. And here are a couple of demos that show the difference between a headset and desktop mic. There are also a few community members who also shared what they use and recorded some demos.

15 Articulate Studio 09 - Until I see what 2013 can do (and it is about to be in beta), Studio sits at number 15. Despite what Articulate might say the most used products within Studio are Presenter and Quizmaker. Mimic – Create video demos and tutorials. Who doesn’t like that? Oh, right, never mind.

Monday started with Articulate Live ‘09 and ended with the eLearning Guild’s Annual Gathering. Speaking of the guru awards, I was looking at the source files for the CPR demo and was impressed to see that it only contained twenty PowerPoint slides. Here’s a quick demo that shows some of these ideas in action.
