If I notice Im losing someones attention in class, Ill instantly make direct eye-contact, maybe raise an eyebrow, and start talking directly to that student, and most of the time. I dont do any online teaching at the moment, but I do a lot of online collaboration on projects -- reviewing content with SMEs, going over storyboards, etc.

Im a Word power-user and love all the little tricks and shortcuts. I really do believe that for many people and organizations it will be the personal use of wikis that propels them into more collaborative work with them. I started off cutting and pasting a lot of documents from Word into the wiki. I miss them. But the payoff is huge.

The Connected Worker 21st century knowledge worker/learner "Im only as good as my network." Cant just say "lets collaborate and get a wiki." Shift is not to do what youre supposed to do. Do it when you want. This will have real implications for instruction. Cant just read about them. Apply research. Avoid the hype.
