It's safe to claim that much of higher education is firmly rooted in the past , reflecting colonial history, traditional values and 20th (or even 19th) Century pedagogies. Future technologies now

Also on show was the HTC Vive - a VR suite which provided a truly immersive experience (pictured). As they develop and the software becomes more powerful and responsive to our needs and desires, we will see some exciting new pedagogies emerge. Google Cardboard was on show, but so were other alternatives. Personally, I can't wait.

It should behove every university to continue to make changes to improve pedagogy. I suspect that not many other universities will follow suit, but for those that do, let's remember that it's the student that should always be placed at the centre of the learning process, and that we should design our spaces accordingly.
