What About Screencasting? Using the embed and sharing function of CodePen, I can use student demos to teach particular concepts.

You may have heard the news last week that Articulate launched a new screencasting tool called Screenr. It is a free web-based tool that lets you create screencasts without installing any software. You can even watch the screencasts back at HD-quality and they look great. Screenr gives you multiple ways to use your screencasts.

It’s Articulate’s new Software As A Service for screencasting, tagged as instant screencasts for Twitter. Then plug in your mic, get your computer ready for the display you want to screencast, size the Record window, and click the red Record button. You can download the screencast as an.mp4 file. Soapbox (Wistia), Camtasia and Screencast-o-matic are all good, light-weight options that are perfect for beginners. . Embed the video in the course (if you have already uploaded the video to a hosting service such as YouTube or Vimeo). You can even embed other videos from sites like YouTube to build out your training courses.
