Web based training (WBT which was the term to define web based courses) – E-Learning. . Web conferencing – well it if is for a webinar – it is under e-learning. If it is a web meeting and no learning is taking place, then no, it is not under e-learning. . E-Learning 24/7.

Folding up shop and switching to a new market: Talent/Performance Management, new product lines not tied to e-learning, services. Acquiring another LMS or e-learning vendor. Outside of the industry purchasing vendors in the space. Folding up shop for good – goodbye and nice knowing you.

Eliminates the “storage&# content component of learning management systems that sadly continues to grow- to offset systems’ bandwidth and server costs. Mobile learning value is there, expands a system who offers extended enterprise. Perfect for academia/education and corporate. Why would I want it?

Are there low cost systems for the education market? In the cloud or on your own servers. Low cost systems are typically SaaS based (then again, the LMS industry as a whole is more SaaS based than hosted on your servers). Major downer: available only as hosted on your own servers. Absolutely. . User Interface.

Then again, I have yet to attend a show that offered soy milk, although one time a server actually brought in their own the next day for me – that person deserves a raise! The biggest knock on the show in previous years was that it was getting smaller with less vendors. Why as an e-learning vendor you should attend this show.
