I was immediately interested because, like me, Mott is striving to bridge the gap between the organisation’s LMS and the learner’s PLE. Amen to that.

So the formal training needs to be sustained, and a powerful way of doing that is with an informal learning environment. I don’t agree with Kit that this content should be put on the LMS.

But my reply is “so what” – we don’t really need to record activity so why hide it behind the walls of an LMS? If the openness of the training means that our colleagues outside of the cohort learn something too, great! Measure what matters, and record that in the LMS.
