I was informed of this new product which would meet my needs. Just as a seriously doubt many of the LMS vendors who feel it is their duty to charge one time setup fees that break your budget bank. There are plenty of vendors who do not charge any type of setup fee. What some vendors toss into their setup fees to boost the price.

It was clear that not even LXP vendors (as a whole) knew – which explained why they targeted L&D, ignoring the other monster in the room, training. On top of all that, the LXP vendors (as a whole) pushed a false pretense that the LXP was vastly different than say an LMS. One of my favorite early vendors was GeoLearning.

Not an issue, unless of course, you want a product that can be a bolt-on too, for say, uh, oh yeah, an LMS. Go back to early 2000’s to 2010 or so, and there were way more LCMSs than exist today. Yep, in 2000. We did it, back in 2000 to zero in more on those who wanted short bytes of learning, via online. Crickets. .

I see two factors: Person really doesn’t know the product inside and out and so they tell you want you want to hear. I remember seeing some pricing online by a LMS vendor and then when I got the contract it had different pricing on it. Or there are vendors who only work in certain industries/verticals. 2 Not listening.
