Microsoft is ahead of the game here with Windows 8 and while Apple is famous for saying that they will never make a MacBook or an iMac with touch, it’s worth noting that they have said that many time of other things and eventually have done it, so I do believe the same will happen with touch-enabled Mac laptops and desktops.

But like all good things, there’s a catch – iBooks Author runs only on the Mac with OS X 10.6.6 And if HTML5 is key to delivering eLearning on the iPad, but unless your organisation is adopting the iPad as the ‘preferred’ device, HTML5 may not be the best option for developing your eLearning.

People are so engrossed in the game that they are watching their phone as opposed to their surroundings, and placing themselves in serious jeopardy; all for the reward of “catching ‘em all” before their friends.

The levels of interactivity in elearning will vary considerably with some courses simply being a set of slides for the learner to scroll through while others can be more interactive including clickable elements, activities, games and drag and drop features as well as quizzes and assessments as the learner progresses through the course.
