And there's a reason for the decline in déjà vu events as we age. The information arrives a split second from one side ahead of the other and this subtle delay causes the déjà vu event. A feeling of familiarity within a context of strangeness. This is a fairly universal temporal mind effect, and it decreases as we get older.
