Im guessing youre designing online distance learning courses. Im in the weird place of for-profit education, which really has characteristics of both market sectors. Having just a bachelors degree seems to be fine as long as you arent working directly for the universities (Im not sure about K-12 online). What do you do?

Level 4 Eval traditionally done during Learning Outcomes (there were a lot more things on his chart, but Im not that fast and it was somewhat complicated.) Most of us are doing Level 1 completion and smile sheets.

Granted, Im not commenting on the design nor the quality of the material. Those will still remain all over the spectrum.

There are great tools with a short learning curve (for example, Adobe Captivate and Articulate Presenter) and tools with a longer learning curve that are really excellent (for example, Lectora, and Flashform). There seems to be a mix between contract and full time positions, and Im not sure how to read into that.

Of course there are some companies in India too, who require Instructional Designers to implement courses using tools like Captivate. But Im not sure I can get people to hold their answers back.
