Click here to view the demo. Here’s a demo of a slide with three videos on it and following are the basic steps. Link each video image to one of the slides. When the learner clicks the video image, it will link to the slide with the actual video on it. Copy the images to the other slides. Create four slides.

I first thought this to be a limitation of HTML5 (first article was for SWF output) and tested it out. The demo file has two TEB’s on the second slide. I did not create a poster image in the example file. This is the link to the forum thread. Here is the download link; DynButton.

Now, you can choose to record a Demo (Watch), Training (Try) or Assessment (Do) simulation. At the bottom of the screen, you will find the Timeline which has elements such as the image , callouts , a mouse movement, a click box , or an audio recording. You can move through this filmstrip to locate a recorded screen.

Publish the Captivate project to a swf. Click here or the image below to see a Adobe Captivate 4 demo on how to do it. Select Edit->Preferences -> Project -> Publish Settings – Check “Animations” so that animations are externalized or they are published as a separate file. Say OK to the dialog.

Speaking of the guru awards, I was looking at the source files for the CPR demo and was impressed to see that it only contained twenty PowerPoint slides. When you publish the course, the slide with the audio, images, and animations is converted to a Flash movie file (.swf). Swap images on the screen. And you’re all done.

However to record a Video Demo or a Software simulation you did have to edit the AdobeCaptivate.ini file. The second slide is using the “Go to Next State” command both for the text items and the images with the sticky character. Some are mentioned in the documentation, some not.
