If you look at the image below, you can see that there’s nothing on the master slides because I didn’t use any master slides. Instead all of the persistent objects on the screen are copied over all of the slides. This means that each slide takes a little longer to publish. Didn’t take advantage of the master slides.

This lets you quickly modify your slides by changing templates, color schemes, and fonts. These are handy because with one click you can change multiple colors in your slides. For example, let’s say on slide one, you want an image to move from one side of the screen to the other. Then on slide two, you want to start with the image in the new position. You can copy and paste that onto the next slide and the object will be aligned to the end point of the animation on the previous slide.

It was easy to mask poor instructional design with cool effects and animations. Something like this could be inserted on a single slide. What would be five slides of information could be one slide with five areas for the learner to explore. It’s all PowerPoint and basically cycles through two slides.
