Cultural Comment Shift

The phenomena is that we’re seeing a cultural comment shift; comments are now coming from shared platforms, not directly on the site. These days, however, I get more comments on the LinkedIn announcement of the post rather than the post itself. I’ve been blogging now for over a decade, and one thing has changed.

A foolish inconsistency

I like LinkedIn. There are lots of such irritations: web forms that only tell you the expected format after you get it wrong instead of making it easy to point to the answer or give you a clue and sites with mismatched security (overly complex for unessential data or vice-versa) are just two examples.

The articles in LinkedIn are occasionally of interest too, and it’s always an education to see who wants to link ;).

As I state in my boilerplate response: “I deliberately ignore what comes unsolicited, and instead am triggered by what comes through my network: Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Skype, etc.” But where do you learn?
