Last week a lot of 3D news occurred, here is a round up of some of the highlights: I stopped by the ASTD booth of Digitell, Inc. and met James A. Parker, the President, who said his booth was buzzing the entire conference and a lot of people were interested in 3D webinars. Digitell is company that owns VirtualU a 3D virtual immersive environment that has been used for everything from meetings to rock concerts. In Fall 2009 (this semester) we had over 10 companies on campus recruiting our students including RWD Technologies , Kodak , Tyco Electronics and Geisinger Health System. So, let me describe why getting a graduate degree from Bloomsburg University's Department of Instructional Technology ROCKS and why our ID graduates can easily hold their own against non-degreed folks (and then some). The Bloomsburg program is not out of the business school but it is not in the School of Education either. So we have a different focus than programs housed in the school of education. It shows. From my 2008 predictions: PLEs will be sharable - tools shall arrive on the web that shall allow entire learning experiences to be sliced and shared between users.
