Content – Change the Narrative

eLearning 24-7

Too many times I find that when talking about content, 3rd party content providers, content driven strategies from learning system vendors (which is quite hot) and marketplaces place more of a general approach to buying and pushing it. Content (formally known as courses as the main stay) follow the same suit. If your learning system provider offers content, take a look at it. But does LinkedIn Learning really have the best content? The highest quality?

Implement An Online Learning Content Strategy

eLearning 24-7

There was a time, just a few years back, that content meant one thing and courses meant another thing. Content was videos, PDFs, documents, media files (audio), images, anything and everything that was not a course. But as we change – evolve in our space, content (the term) has too. Nowadays, courses slide under content. We create our own content. We buy 3rd party content. We outsource someone else to build our content. We read content.

What you need 2 know: 3rd Party Content

eLearning 24-7

There may come a time, when you need content. Content these days, well, it is an umbrella term to represent courses (micro too), videos, articles, materials, workbooks, other types of learning resources, podcasts and so forth. If it can be consumed for knowledge, then it slides under content. . When it comes to content, as a consumer you have a few options. You can hire someone or some entity to build your content for you. Then: Quality was mixed.

Courseware LMSs – Good or bad for the industry?

eLearning 24-7

Y o u may be sitting right now with third party content in your LMS. Maybe you purchased it via Open Sesame, or Skillsoft. Maybe you scored it via Wiley, but in many possibilities you purchased the content thru your LMS vendor. It’s much easier than say going directly to the content provider, buying it from them and then having them talk to your LMS vendor to put it in for you (which, honestly you should do, because it will save you money).
