They’re social buying sites that have some sort of “deal of the day” where you can make discounted purchases as you recommend them to others. Did you know that there are similar sites for technology and web design? Here are a couple of the sites I subscribe to.

Free Font Sites. The reason is that they’ve been vetted and are free to use unlike many sites that say the fonts are free but then it turns out they’re only free for personal use. If you’re interested in a workshop in your area, have your local ISPI or ASTD chapter contact me. That’s when using free fonts comes in handy.

In a recent activity, they had all of the restaurant greeters videotape their best customer greeting and then upload the videos to their internal video site. I usually get my images from Fotolio or iStockphoto but there are dozens of good stock image sites. The new Microsoft Office site has a lot of the same images you’d buy from vendors like Fotolio available for free. One of the things I do is subscribe to sites like AppSumo and Mighty Deals. You got over 400 poses for $24.

They just updated the Office Online site and have some partnership with providers like Fotolio , iStockphoto , and iCLIPART. Clip art can seem boring and trite, and if you take your own photos most likely they’ll look a lot different that the pro quality images you can find on stock sites.
